Show Notes

In this episode of One Good Take I chat with cinematographer Seppe van Grieken.

I first came across Seppe’s work in the superb TV series The Serpent, starring Tahar Rahim and Jenna Coleman, based on the crimes of serial killer, Charles Sobhraj.

I was hugely impressed by the show and asked Seppe to talk to me about his part in creating this casually chaotic seventies world of backpackers in Thailand and Asia.

This episode is a bit longer than usual, as we go into some technical stuff about choice of lenses and cameras, so I’ve split it into two in case you’re short of time. Enjoy this take.
