I have with me on the show today an actor/writer/producer whose talent for developing commercially viable projects and pitching them with gusto makes him a go-to guy for filmmakers looking for ideas and inspiration for getting their film projects done.
The roster of films he’s produced over the years includes LANSKY, starring Harvey Keitel, Sam Worthington and Minka Kelly, LOVE N’ DANCING, directed by Rob Iscove, THE ALPHABET KILLER, a psychological thriller directed by Rob Schmidt, and THE ATTIC, a thriller directed by Mary Lambert starring John Savage and Elisabeth Moss.
His own company, Trick Candle Productions, is known for its quality independent films that span a variety of genres. Titles include TRAUMA THERAPY, a thriller, SCREAMERS, a found footage horror, HERO OF THE UNDERWORLD and FAIR HAVEN.
Not content to stop with production he also co-founded a sales and distribution company – Glass House Distribution. So who is this polymath of talents? Please welcome, in a virtual sort of way, Tom Malloy. Tom and I got together at the end of 2020. And here’s that take.
